FEMP Summer Institute
The FEMP summer institute was created to allow distance students to fulfill the 9 credit residency requirement that the university sets forth for all graduate students. The FEMP program, through the Department of Political Science, holds one week long courses. Students complete a pre-class and post-class assignment in conjunction with the week of coursework to fulfill the requirements of the course.
Policies and Guidelines
Registration
Students need to register for classes no less than one month before the start date of the course. It is best to register sooner rather than later. Please contact the FEMP office to register.
Transportation
Oklahoma State University is accesible by two airports, Will Rogers World Airport (OKC), and Tulsa International Airport (TUL). The university is located about an hour from both airports.
FEMP Shuttle Service - FEMP provides shuttle service to and from Will Rogers World Airport. The pick-up and drop-off times are yet to be determined. Students wishing to use this service should plan on arriving on Sunday around noon and departing Saturday morning. The pick-up time will be Sunday before classes start at 6 pm and drop-off at Saturday after classes end at 7 am. Please contact the FEMP office with your travel itinerary so the drop-off and pick-up times can be coordinated.
Pick-up: Sunday 6 pm before each class week
Drop-off: Saturday 7 am after each class week
* Note - Shuttle service will not be provided to Tulsa International Airport. Students wishing to fly into this airport will need to make alternate travel arrangements.
Lodging
On-Campus Apartments - There are a limited quantity of campus apartments available for rent. These units are 2 bedroom, 2 bath efficiencies. Discounts are available if two students share an apartment. Apartments are typically cheaper than hotels. For more information, prices, and booking contact -
